It all started when Johnny Jones read a story at school called “Lily’s Puppy” about a girl who dreamed of having a dog. He looked up at our mom and said, “I’m going to manifest this story.” And he meant it.

Two days later, we were walking around the neighbourhood with a poster that said, “We’re trying to buy a dog. Please help us,” selling packs of Ribbonties to save up. We’d been asking for a dog for years, but after looking after our cousin’s Cavoodle, Honey, a year earlier, we knew exactly what we wanted.

The second house Jagger knocked on? One of Mom’s spray tan clients. She bought some hair ties and asked what kind of dog we wanted. When Jagger said Cavoodle, she gasped. Her friend was looking to rehome a two-year-old Cavoodle named Freddie.

Two days later, we met him. A week later, he was ours.
